Sour Tangie Cannabinoid and Terpene Profile

A mix between East Coast Sour Diesel and Tangie, Sour Tangie is a strong Sativa strain. You may have also heard it called “Sunva.” At 21-22% THC, Sour Tangie packs a punch. According to Leafly, “This sativa has two different phenotypes that express either Sour Diesel or Tangie bud structures and effects.” Meaning, this hybrid won’t always look or feel the same. One parent gene will be stronger than the other. The terpene profile is Myrcene dominant, which has spicy and earthy characteristics. Adding depth to the flavor and aroma, Caryophyllene intensifies its peppery quality, and Limonene rounds it out with sweet, citrus notes.

How does Sour Tangie Strain Taste?

Sunva is well known for its classic cannabis flavor. Sour Tangie’s high notes ring of lemon and citrus peels while the mouthfeel is full of earthy soil and tangy diesel.

How does Sour Tangie Smell?

You will notice the fragrant orange and lemon aromas immediately. The pungent smell has all the characteristics of its terpene profile; pungent earth, tangy diesel, sour citrus, and spicy pepper.

How Does Sour Tangie Feel?

Sour Tangie is a potent sativa with creative, energizing, and happy sensations. Higher Leaf recommends this strain for waking and baking because “It helps many get out of bed and start the day off on the right foot along with the minimal side effects throughout and after the high. This strain is unique because it allows you to stay focused on a given task without the fogginess that many other strains may give you.” It’s also known to last quite a while, up to 4 hours! So, if you are sensitive to sativas, watch your dosing. This strain is known to cause red eyes, cottonmouth, anxiety, paranoia, and dizziness.

What Does Sour Tangie Strain Look like?

Sour Tangie can appear as two different phenomes. That means that the genetic tendencies of both strains can be encouraged by the growing environment. Rather than a blend of both, Sour Tangie plants will take on more characteristics of one parent strain. The buds range from long buds with tightly bound leaves to medium-sized dark nugs with pink undertones and purple hairs.

If you like this Strain, you’ll probably like Durban Poison.

Durban Poison is a fun smoke that gets ‘high’ marks in every category! As Terrapin’s most Sativa-dominant strain, Customers described it as energizing as a shot of espresso while lacking the jittery side effects of caffeine. The strongly pine-scented nugs provide a potent mental buzz and extremely cerebral high that will get you sky-high and leave you soaring. A landrace (wild-growing strain) claimed to have originated in Durban, South Africa, this plant has achieved a legendary reputation for its activating effects and may even be related to the strains used to make the “battle snuff” of the fabled Zulu warriors!
