If a butterfly was to metamorphosize into a cannabis consuming human, they would utilize a micro nc nectar collector. A micro nectar collector acts similarly to a butterfly’s proboscis (their nose straw) where the nectar is the concentrate and the straw is the micro nectar collector. Micro nectar collectors accomplish the same task as a full-sized dab rig where cannabis concentrates are consumed through heating a glass (not always glass) straw-like pipe.

However, unlike a dab rig, micro nectar collectors are more portable since they are light-weight and smaller than traditional dab rigs. A micro nc nectar collectors can also save money through it’s affordability and efficiency. With a price point of around $15 to $30 at most head shops, micro nectar collectors have a lower cost than dab rig kits. Additionally, you save with this no-waste method of consumption. According to dabbing enthusiast website Yo Dabba Dabba, “A nectar collector gives you the ability to simply dip and dab without wasting any oil getting scorched or puddling in the corner of a dab nail.” Furthermore, micro nectar collectors are easier to use than dab rigs. Below, we break down how to use and clean this tool, and what concentrates pair best with a miro nc nectar collector (pst… all concentrates work!)

How To Use Your Micro NC Nectar Collector Dab Kit:

  1. If your kit uses water, fill the glass body with about a tablespoon of water.
  2. Attach the glass tip to the bottom where the water is resting, making sure it is secure.
  3. Attach the mouthpiece to the top.
  4. Open your concentrate and place your concentrate in the glass dish if the packaging is plastic. If your concentrate comes in glass, no need to remove it from packaging. Any concentrates from shatter, wax, sugar ect will work with a micro nectar collector. (We recommend Double Bear Mystic sugar since the fluffy sugar is easiest to handle and emits a sparkly hue when heated.)
  5. Heat the tip with a small torch for around 40-50 seconds.
  6. Place the tip on the concentrate and let cool for 15-30 seconds.
  7. Then, inhale and dab.

How To Clean Your Micro NC Nectar Collector Dab Kit:

How you clean your kit is similar to all glass-pipe cleaning. You’ll need: 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol, a plastic reusable bag, coarse salt, warm water.

  1. Dissemble your kit and pour water out.
  2. Remove resin with an alcohol soaked cotton swab.
  3. Completely submerge your glass pieces in a 2:1 ratio of isopropyl alcohol to salt.
  4. Let sit for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. After time has passed, shake vigorously, holding the glass so it doesn’t jostle and break. You want the salt and liquid to get into all the nooks and crannies.
  6. If you’re not satisfied with the results, let it soak for additional time.
  7. Once your kit looks clean, rinse with warm water and let it air-dry.

Now spread your nectar-collecting butterfly wings and fly high!
