How to Get a Medical Card in Pennsylvania
Getting your medical marijuana card in Pennsylvania has never been easier, and we’re here to help! Our friends at Green Bridge Society have outlined a how-to list on how to get your medical card through their quick and easy service
Steps for a New Patient PA Medical Marijuana Card with Green Bridge Society:
- You must have a PA ID or Driver’s License and it must be current.
- The state has approved 24 medical conditions for medical marijuana. Those are found on Green Bridge’s website. Just ensure you’re able to provide proof of this diagnosis to Green Bridge! (i.e. a document or photo of a diagnosis)
- If you suffer from an undiagnosed condition, Green Bridge is able to provide Anxiety Evaluations or Chronic Pain Evaluations for an extra charge.
- With your PA ID and diagnosis in hand, you can now complete your request to be certified.
- Complete their online form HERE. They will not ask for any compensation until Green Bridge knows that you qualify!
- Once you submit your information, you will then need to set up a patient account with the PA Department of Health. This is your online “filing cabinet” where all of your information will be, and where you will interact with the state. You can register online as an adult patient HERE. If you struggle with technology, Green Bridge is happy to take care of this step for you.
- Once they have received your request and reviewed your qualifications, they will email you your patient information and a link to make your payment with Green Bridge.
- After a payment is received, you will be placed on their schedule for one of their doctors to call you. This is usually done the same day or the next day, and only takes a few minutes!
- Once their doctor completes the call, your certification will be sent to the state. After this is received, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions from the state on how to log into your account.
- Your card is now in the mail! Your medical marijuana card will typically arrive within 7-10 business days.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS IS UPDATED BEFORE ANY STEPS. INCORRECT MAILING ADDRESSES CAN ADD TIME AND COST TO THE PROCESS.
