Looking for the best places to listen to live music in Aurora? We’ve got you covered!

The Peoples Building

The People’s Building is a space for artists of all disciplines to experiment, teach, and perform while encouraging inhabitants of the metro area. They feel that the arts and a flourishing community are inextricably linked. Providing a tailored balance of art, education, and wellness for its patrons, access to a high-quality venue to provide dignity for their artists, and a commitment to a revenue-neutral business model.

The People’s Building’s background is as vibrant as Aurora itself. It was previously a ski shop and later a rent-to-own furniture company before being purchased by Aurora’s Office of Urban Renewal and Redevelopment. They spent almost $200,000 to revitalize the property, which is now used as a gallery and a flexible event space for cultural events, workshops, meetings, independent artists, musicians, dancers, and event planners.

Check out their Day of Jubilee. It’s their monthly, First-Friday series that celebrates live music and visual art in the Aurora Cultural Arts District. For now, you can view the live-streaming from The People’s Building and cross-posting partners’ FB page on the first Friday of the month.

Stanley Beer Hall

Stanley Beer Hall is a fantastic spot to have a good time. They’re a welcoming neighborhood hangout with an ever-changing list of 30 taps honoring the best of Colorado craft beer, a creative menu of tasty food that’s good for your soul, and a range of seating options both indoors and out for groups large and small. We love to listen to live music in Aurora at this place! They want every visitor to feel as if they’ve just arrived home (if home were a beer hall in a huge urban marketplace).

Stanley Beer Hall is located in the southwest corner of what was once Stanley Aviation, a cutting-edge manufacturer of aviation ejection seats. There’s some powerful history here—you can sense it—so they re-used as much of the original building as they could to create a sleek but cozy room. Even if you don’t reside in this neighborhood, they’ve established Stanley Beer Hall as your new favorite local hangout.

The Frontier Club

Everyone is welcome at The Frontier Club, so come hang out with your friends and family at the Club Club Club! The Frontier Club is one of the last bars on Colfax Avenue, just across from Aurora Sports Park. With over 6,000 square feet of space, Frontier Club caters to all crowds of people, including bikers, families, and sports fans. It features a large main bar with 16 flat screen TVs, a large projection screen, 5 pool tables, a game area, shuffleboard, Roller Ball, 4 dart boards, and an outdoor patio with a seasonal bar. Whether you’re a regular or just passing by, you’ll feel right at home!

Che Luna

Cheluna is Colorado’s first Latino-owned and operated artisan brewery! ‘Chela’ is a slang term for beer that is frequently used in Mexico. The Spanish word for moon is ‘luna.’ ‘Cheluna’ is a hybrid of the words chela and luna.
Cheluna, located in the Stanley Marketplace, was founded by Javi and Jen as a center of community inspired by Javi’s grandparents’ hometown of Oaxaca, Mexico. In addition to the abilities of local musicians, Cheluna allows patrons to bring in food from any of the Stanley Marketplace restaurants or have it delivered right to their table. If you just need something to tide you over, they provide free pretzels and spicy Spanish peanuts, similar to what you’d find in an Oaxacan bar.
